school horses i dunnit again , chesneychesney is one of the newest additions that was donated to la for our breeding program. chesney is a seven year old buckskin stud who has won many titles in roping, barrel racing, and reining. we already have two mares and hope his babies will be as successful as he is. chesney is fairly laid-back and requires an intermediate rider. ace of hearts , aceeven though ace is a big deal, he really is just a sweetheart. ace is la's nine year old friesian stallion. he came to us from a californian friesian farm as a three year old and for the past six years has been enjoying life and learning the art of dressage. he's reached third level dressage and still learning. ace requires patience and a strong hand.one hot tamale , chilechile is a fourteen year old leopard appaloosa who used to be a prized polo pony. she only reaches 14.2 hands and therefore whips around like a little speed demon. she is used for trails, as well as english and western pleasure. on occasion, she is used for academy polo matches as well. chile likes to outsmart her riders and therefore makes a good mount for beginners all the way through advanced riders.kyliekylie was donated to us through a zoological society so that our breeding program students can study hybrids. kylie is a zebra/horse cross, otherwise known as a zorse. she is two years old and has been started on ground work by our training students. hopefully, in years to come, she will make a good trail horse here on campus.a global affair , atlasatlas is currently our oldest resident at la. atlas is an nineteen year old percheron gelding who is a mentor for all. atlas is retired from riding but helps our driving students when it comes to hitching up. he used to compete in low hunters before he came to orion and has won numerous horse pull awards. atlas is a big contender in the winter when he pulls la students over snow covered hills by sleigh.limited edition , classyclassy is our gorgeous six year old thoroughbred mare. classy is a retired race horse who won numerous starts and also came in second in the kentucky oaks. now, classy competes in hunters and is quite a handful. after she is retired from jumping, classy will be used as a broodmare in a program. classy is extremely high spirited and requires an advanced rider.you wish , pee weepee wee is our adorable eight year old miniature mare. she loves to run around in the pasture with the big horses and think she is one of them. she's got quite a bit of sass to her but she's still a great little horse for la. pee wee is used for halter classes as well as single cart driving.high time , loganlogan is our new five year old hanoverian stallion who was imported from germany. logan specializes in jumpers and boy, does he have the turns for it! logan is also to be used in our breeding program seeing as he comes from superb lines and would make a great sire. he is extremely hot headed and rough and therefore requires an advanced rider.summertime wonder , booboo is a rescue horse which happens to be how she received her name. when boo arrived at la she spooked at everything due to the fact that she was abused. with the help of our students, boo has become one of the best mounts here. she is a great horse to take on trails and also specializes in all western events. she loves cutting and reining- anything for the thrill.under arrest , troopertrooper, our ten year old saddlebred gelding is our escape goat here on campus. he has a knack for getting out of his pasture, halter, stall - anything! however, when he is behaving, trooper is an awesome saddleseat horse and is won to take to the shows if you're looking for a blue ribbon. trooper can be a handful but he's worth the experience.- - - - - apollo, border collie malemolly, border collie femalebustersqueaks and her litter
